Dr. Orkun Hasekioglu is the Governing Board Director and Executive Director of the TUBITAK Fundamental Sciences Research Institute. He has previously served as Vice President of TENMAK and TUBITAK, and as President of TUBITAK Marmara Research Center. He holds BS, MS (Caltech), and PhD (RPI) degrees in Electronics and Systems Engineering. With experience in academia and leadership roles at GE R&D, Moren Communications, CHEMI Inc., and AIT Inc., he currently leads Turkey’s advanced reactors program. He serves on several national and international advisory boards, including CERN, OECD-NEA, TARLA, SESAME, EC JRC, and the UN Technology Bank.
