Dr Adekunle Olorunlowo David holds a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Environmental Technology and Management from the university of Port Harcourt, Rivers State, Nigeria. He equally obtained a Master of Science degree in Environmental Technology and Management and a Master of Engineering degree in Environmental Engineering from the same institution. His first degree was in Civil Engineering from the university of Ilorin. He joined the services of Olabisi Onabanjo University (OOU) in 2016 where he has served as the Head, Department of Civil Engineering for three sessions (2018/2019; 2019/2020 and 2020/2021 respectively). Prior to joining OOU, he worked as a Civil Engineer in the Oil and Gas Industry with Jake & Elwood Limited for over fifteen years. He is currently on a sabbatical leave and with Tshwane University of Technology, Pretoria, South Africa as a Research Fellow in the Department of Civil Engineering. He has published over thirty peer reviewed articles in various Journals. A Registered Engineer with the Council for Regulation of engineering in Nigeria (COREN) and a Registered Scientist with National Registry of Environmental Professionals (NREP, USA). His research focuses on hydrological modelling, development of generative artificial intelligence driven real time flood early warning systems for sustainable communities and the use of eco-friendly materials for the treatment of wastewater.
